Darren Cantor

Darren Cantor is the founder and principal attorney at The Law Office of Darren R. Cantor, P.C., a Denver-based law firm providing strong, effective criminal defense representation to clients throughout Colorado.

Mr. Cantor worked as a Deputy State Public Defender from 1987 to 1995, including serving as Senior Attorney in the Office of the Public Defender from 1993-1995. He has continued practicing criminal defense in private practice since that time and has represented clients in some of the most high-profile criminal cases tried in Colorado in recent years.

A Denver native, Mr. Cantor attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for both his undergraduate and law degrees. He is admitted to all state and federal courts in Colorado and is active in the Colorado Bar Association and Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. In 2010, Mr. Cantor was given the Jonathan Olom Award by the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar for "remarkable personal sacrifice made without regard to personal gain in the defense of the accused."

Mr. Cantor has long held a commitment toward advancing knowledge, ethics, and professionalism among Colorado attorneys. He has been an Adjunct Professor in Trial Practice and Advanced Trial Practice at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He has also delivered instruction to practicing attorneys in the areas of ethics and trial practice on behalf of the Colorado Public Defender, the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, and the Colorado Alternate Defense Counsel.
